Street Fancy was selected and bought by Hebert Bloodstock as a yearling out of the Fasig-Tipton October sale privately for $35,000 after she failed to meet her reserve. We brought her home to Louisiana and broke her at our farm and prepared her for the two-year-old in training sale in California. She worked an extremely fast, 9.4 seconds for 1/8th mile. We recommended to Agave Racing Stable that she be retained for his racing stable if she failed to meet her reserve of $420,000 at the sale. She had shown us at that point that she was extremely fast, and she had the size, the sire power, the family and the talent that we look for in a racehorse that can perform at the top of the game. On our recommendation and advice Agave did go on to race the filly after she failed to meet her reserve and the rest is history. Our instincts and advice turned out to be golden when later that same year she became a Grade 1 winning two-year-old filly just as we suspected she might.

Her last trip through auction at Keeneland in 2017 saw her command a price of $1,500,000 from Briddlewood Farm in Ocala, Florida, known for acquiring only the most sought after and prestigious and valuable bloodstock in the business. This was yet more validation for us in terms of the quality we saw in her when no one in the industry could even see giving as little as $35,000 for her. She came a long way from our original $35,000 acquisition price. These are the dreams that do come true at times in horse racing. She is another Hebert Bloodstock diamond in the rough find. We are very proud of this filly and our association with her.
